I know change is coming in many different ways. Some leaves fall off the trees, the temperatures are cooler, day and night are equal AND I begin to sneeze. Fortunately, my allergies have been mild. However, if you are experiencing watery eyes and a nose running like a faucet, then I recommend you try our Sinus Relief tea blend in the shop. Our tea blend has three sinus relieving herbs: Goldenrod, Nettle Leaf, and Elder flowers. Goldenrod has helpful herbal actions: diuretic, astringent, and anticatarrhal. Nettle Leaf has similar actions in addition to antiallergenic. Elder flowers has a diaphoretic (promotes sweating thus cooling the body) action and a decongestant. All these herbs are very “drying”. If you have an overall “dry” constitution, i.e. dry skin, dry hair, and/or prone to dehydration then the tea may not be for you. Exasperating your dry condition is a legitimate concern. Of course, if you have the runny nose and watery eyes, this tea blend will help. Just remember to hydrate yourself too. One of the ways you can do this is adding the herb Mallow that has high mucilage properties. Last, but not least: lemon peel! I added the lemon peel to our tea blend to counter the bitter taste of the herbs. The tea is truly a well-balanced blend for the allergy season.
